Field Trips in Devon...

It was cool that Veronica’s course on sustainable agriculture included taking several field trips.
This trip to a farm included seeing a newborn calf.
Her professor seemed truly baffled that she could really love cows even though she’s a vegan.
She was glad to finally get the chance to visit Dartmoor National Park...
...where she loved getting doggy kisses.

First Glimpses of University of Exeter...

It was very exciting to see where Veronica would be starting her Master’s in September.
She was clearly happy to pose for lots more photos.
The grounds were quite nice with lots of trees, including this redwood...
...and a pond or two.
Exeter was hosting a graduation that day, so the student union was quite festive. It was crowded, but we managed to find a table at the pub for ciders.

Our New Grad...

It’s probably not a big surprise that we walked around campus and took lots of photos, including inside the School of Environmental Sciences...
...as well as outside.
We found some nice spots on the bridge to the Sainsbury Centre...
...and on this spiral staircase.
I thought this one was particularly cool.
Of course, Veronica couldn’t resist taking some photos as well.
We were really impressed with the efforts that the school made to make a nice hospitality area next to the sports hall for the grads and their parents. The only problem was that they miscalculated how much vegan food would be needed for the Env grads.
What a nice way to spend our final day on campus.

Grads and a Drone...

Veronica gathered her ex-roomies on a hill behind the campus...
...to create a graduation video with her drone.
It was nice to meet her friends’ parents and to see them acting as silly as us trying to capture every moment...
...including when the grads let their mortar boards fly.
Afterwards, Veronica set up her tripod to catch a few family photos with the Ziggarats...
...and UEA Broad.

Veronica’s Graduates from UEA...

July 15 was a big day for us as we accompanied Veronica to the University of East Anglia for the final time.
Jimmy and I were so thrilled and proud to be there to watch Veronica go through her graduation ceremony and to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science with First-Class Honours, indicating high academic achievement.
Here she is with Larry, one of her housemates from her second year.
We had no idea that the sports hall had such a large auditorium. In addition to the 130 Env students plus their parents, there were also Chemistry majors.
When the Administrators, Lecturers and Professors arrived on stage, they were wearing brightly colored robes and sashes depicting where they graduated from.
I didn’t manage to catch a photo of Veronica actually getting her diploma, but took so many other photos of her that day that I opted to just borrow the official version.
Afterwards, all the grads gathered on bleachers outside to grab a giant group shot. Can you spot Veronica above the lady passing by in yellow?

More Fun with Aye-Aye...

Veronica really enjoyed her first Charity Shop Hop. The concept was simple: everyone wore clothes that they were willing to donate while rummaging through several charity shops for something to wear to the nightclub on campus that evening.
While some of the outfits were quite tacky, Veronica found a lovely red dress for just £10.
She got dressed up for the UEA Sports Awards; sadly her team went home empty-handed.
Here she is with Saki, her Aye-Aye “daughter”...
...and at the Aye-Aye End-of-Year BBQ.

Good-Bye Aye-Aye...

Veronica’s final Ultimate Frisbee tournament was Sunburn Beach Tournament in Bournemouth. The team made tie-dyed shirts and Veronica, of course, wore her flower crown.
It was a very fun weekend despite wind and a poor performance by the Aye-Ayes, who weren’t used to playing on sand.
Hard to believe her time with Aye-Aye was coming to an end.
This photo was taken during a cheerleading competition across sports teams. They had fun performing to We’re All in This Together from High School Musical. The girls in legit cheerleading outfits were along to train the team.
It was also the end of her time as Publicity Secretary, a job she really enjoyed.

She’s come a long way since those early Ultimate days at the BSN.
