I spent another morning working at the chaotic Registration Desk. Unlike all previous years, the disorganized organizer worked alone rather than with a team to pull off this event. Lucky for him, Neptunus, Higgins and Cockatool, who had all organized previous Eurohashes, stepped in to save the day. Strangely, there were no official events planned for the Friday, so I was happy to learn that Pittsburg H3 laid a trail starting at the dorm. It was a great trail until the moment that the trail just disappeared. After an exhaustive search, the pack finally gave up and turned around. Later we learned that the hare was disappointed that a gate was locked that he wasn’t expecting, so just stopped laying trail. After learning that there was another section of trail that we’d somehow missed, a smaller group set off to follow trail to the beer stop. Here I am sitting next to Porkless, one of the Red Dress hares. What a shock to learn that he tested positive for COVID-19 just four days later. Luckily no one at Eurohash caught it, including his wife. He never came down with any symptoms, but had to quarantine before catching a later flight.

Although Opee prefers to lay his trails live, he agreed that it made sense to pre-lay Saturday’s trail. He was happy when he learned who his co-hares were: All Hands on Deck, Just In Beaver and Grassy Ass. After nearly a two-hour wait for the organizer to get around to sharing a map of their trail, the group set off.
Opee said the trail they were give was actually pretty good, but they added a leg to get to this viewpoint.
The map didn’t include any false trails, but they added plenty.
Rather than prelaying the entire trail and ending at the brewery where they’d be ending the next day, they quit about 4K from the end due to rain at this restaurant. Opee enjoyed a proper goulash, a traditional Czech meal.
Looks like the boys were tired on the Uber ride back to the dorm.
That evening there was a good rock band playing in the party tent. Strobe My Balls and Slippery Edge donned their traditional Dutch outfits just for fun and posed with Biggus Dickus and Pecker Shaker, actual Dutchies.
