Christmas in Exeter...

On Christmas morning, we had another family video call. I managed to send a box of goodies to the girls just before delivery to the UK became embroiled in border controls and extra tariffs due to Brexit.
That afternoon, Veronica and Ashlynn went to the University of Exeter campus for some lovely formal self-portraits.
Still amazes me how two such goofy-looking parents managed to create such beautiful creatures.
They stayed dressed up for their Christmas dinner, consisting of sweet potato casserole, cranberry sauce and assorted roasted veggies...
…complete with Christmas crackers.

Sunrise at Museumplein...

On their final morning in Amsterdam, Veronica and Brett woke up early to take some sunrise photos of the Rijksmuseum...
…under the Rijksmuseum...
…and in front of the Rijksmuseum.

More Spring Self-Portraits...

When I was first pregnant, I went page-by-page through the baby name book making a list until I got to the Vs and came across Veronica, which Jimmy quickly agreed was the perfect name: Veronica, the Patron Saint of Photographers. Clearly we weren’t drawn to it because we’re religious, but rather because we both love photography. Little did we know that when we picked her name that she’d definitely live up to it and become a better photographer than either of us. While she had help from Brett for all of these photos, she was definitely the creative force.

These two were taken in May at Vlietland, a nearby lake.
This whimsical yellow series was taken in an industrial area that we hashed through.
How great is this! This is definitely one of my all-time favorites.
She even managed to get Ashlynn to pose for a few photos with her in April...
…and in June.

Self-Isolation Photo Project...

In no particular order, here are a cross-section of my favorite images from Veronica’s Self-Isolation Photo Project that she worked on during the first month of “intelligent lockdown” in Holland. Brett helped her with some of them, but she planned each of the shots, including the variety of locations, clothes and props. She’s really taken her photography to the next level. Feel free to check out more of her work at www.instagram.com/veronique_photography.

Self-Portraits at Hoge Veluwe...

It was very interesting to watch Veronica in action while she took self-portraits. Of course, I couldn’t resist taking photos of her as she was preparing to take photos of herself.
Presto-chango, she changed into a white dress for the real shots.
These few are ones I took...
...and here is one of hers.
The second location was amongst some pine trees. Again, here are my shots...
...and some of hers.
