Unlike previous Eurohashes, this trail was pay-as-you-go which led to impromptu beer stops.
Our trail eventually led back to the beer garden where we started and then continued onto the walkers’ trail, which led to more confusion.
Regardless, we all figured it out and it was a nice trail.
It was cool seeing Piss, our third sculpture by David Cerny. It was made in 2004 and is placed in front of the Franz Kafka Museum. Too bad that we didn’t know that we could have used SMS to command the men to write messages in the water.
Somehow between the sculpture and Charles Bridge, I lost track of the pack, ending up with just two Harriettes. They chose to walk across, but I was thrilled to dodge the tourists as I ran across that iconic bridge, which turned out to be my favorite moment of Eurohash. I met back up with them on the other side and we made our way to the end. The bar was packed, so I was happy when Boar Whore and Tasty suggested that we run to the metro.
When we got back, the party tents were open as Eurohash had officially begun. The only options for vegetarians for dinner were baked beans and potatoes, so I was happy when another vegetarian invited me to join her for dinner at a nearby microbrewery. Opee and I ate there another night because there was again dismal options at dinner. At least the breakfast offerings were better, but by far this was the worst food we’d ever had at any hash weekend.
Of course, bad food didn’t stop us from having fun. It was so great to be hashing again and see hash friends from all over. Unfortunately, the large contingent of hashers from the UK couldn’t come as UK tourists were banned from coming into the Czech Republic.
