Another EBC Team Training Walk...

Two weeks later, we managed to do another walk together with the full team.
It was a beautiful spring day.
Although we often walk the same routes, I try to capture different images each time.

Complete EBC Team + Kati...

It wasn’t until mid-May that we finally did our first walk with our complete EBC Team.
Although dogs are no longer welcome on the beaches at Vlietland after April 1st, the weather wasn’t great so we brought Kati along.
As you can see, she is somewhat of a menace on the beach as she does love chasing the geese and ducks.

Make It Happen...

After the Kunsthal, we walked over to Fenix Food Factory for dinner and then took a water taxi back across the river to show Bob and Lisa Markt Hall. Along the way, we saw some cool art on a boat....
...and some whimsical street art.
When we got to Witte de Withstraat, I climbed onto the Make It Happen wall.

It was fun being part of the art.
Here’s yet one more photo of Rotterdam Centraal’s cool building and proof that Lisa talks with her hands.

Hyperrealism...

Our next stop was Kunsthal, the modern art museum, where we saw some artists painting this unusual mural along the way towards the special exhibit called Hyperrealism Sculpture.
It was such a cool exhibit! It was incredible how real some of the sculptures looked, like these two old ladies.
Others looked lifelike, but were highly exaggerated. Back to Square One featured an extremely long homeless man.
A Girl was a 16.5-foot long newborn, which was rather creepy.
Some bits were pretty strange, such as this giant fuzzy head. Others were quite graphic such as three life-size versions of the same naked woman sitting spread eagle.
I definitely preferred this lifelike woman, who was tiny like a woodland nymph...
...rather than this huge guy.
This swimmer was quite beautiful.

A Crock of Sh*t...

We were even more surprised when we turned the next corner and entered a large room overflowing with giant turds.
We were relieved that there was no smells to go along with this exhibit.
Leave it to Jimmy to find a way to amuse himself. I was just baffled how the museum curators thought this was a good idea.

Gelatin...

There is no doubt that the special exhibit called Gelatin was one of the strangest we have ever seen. After rounding a corner, we entered a room filled with custom-made naked bodysuits complete with detailed genitalia.
The idea was that you could try on any sex, color and size. As you can see, Jimmy tried on several...
...while I picked a nice white body that went well with my black trousers.
It was a bit weird that Jimmy had bigger boobs than I did...
...but then Lisa had a bigger member than Bob.

Art in Rotterdam...

The following day, we went with Hash friends Bob and Lisa to show them around Rotterdam...
...and to see some art. We started at the Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Rotterdam’s fine art museum where we saw this realistic statue of a little boy in front of a refrigerator.
The design of the museum itself was quite artistic...
...and so was this cool cabinet.
