Denmark’s Famous Kiddie Author...

As big fans of Disneys The Little Mermaid, we had to find the statue in honor of the famous tail (or tale, depending how you look at it). It was quite a hike across Copenhagen, but we managed to get there before dark and walked through a cool fort on our return trip. We really enjoyed visiting the Hans Christian Andersen Museum where animatronics

helped bring several of his famous fairy tales to life. Many of his stories have strong moral messages and depressing endings, such as the original The Little Mermaid written in 1836, but occasionally theres some humor. Not surprisingly, I got a good laugh out of the naked king in The Emperors New Clothes.
