A Real Oven...

While we were excited to have a larger frig when we moved into our new house (still small compared to US standards), we weren’t too thrilled about the size of the oven, which is the same size as a US microwave. It is nice that as a convection oven it cooks faster, but that also means it burns faster. To make matters worse, the cooktop is tiny. So it was only a matter of time that we got fed up and had to upgrade.
Luckily, our kitchen is large by Dutch standards and there was space for a nice big gas stove and oven. We had to pay to run the gas line, but didn’t want to pay to add extra ventilation. That means turning on the fan over the other stove and opening a window (not very efficient in the cold winter!), but at least Jimmy can make pizzas again.
