Summer Swans...

We spotted cygnets in our neighborhood for the first time in 2021 in mid-May.

We encountered them several times over the summer along our usual walking paths.

Here is Jimmy encouraging a cygnet to clear the path so Kati could get through without being attacked by an aggressive parent. 

Luckily there was no attack. 

By mid-August the cygnets were pretty large.
