The Coolest Carousels...

As we wandered through Brussels' Christmas market, we happened upon the most creative carousels we've ever seen. There were 2 versions of Le Manege d'Andrea, animals and toys; they were built in the 1990's in the style of the 1800's. Every figure is completely different and has moving parts for the kids to control. This photo doesn't come close to capturing how whimsical and magical this ride was. The girls had to climb a ladder to get on. Instead of going up and down, this bird is going back and forth out past the normal circumference of the ride. They got to control his head and wings. On the toy carousel, there was a rocket that actually went up through a hole in the top. Sadly, they didn't have any seats for adults.
