The Back of Mont St-Michel...

Rather than eat in a cafe, we grabbed some sandwiches and sat just below the abbey on an old wall enjoying the view. We had some time to kill before meeting up with Vivynne, Tony, Ariana & Max to tour the abbey itself, so we did our usual favorite family activity--mudrucking at low tide. Never mind that we didn't have the right shoes, we couldn't pass up the chance to see the back side of the abbey. Without a boat, this view can only be seen at low tide. We didn't have great luck finding old relics, but Jimmy scored when he found a muddy 20 Euro bill. We didn't stick around to watch the tide come back in, which is supposed to be quite spectacular (especially if folks forget to get their cars out of the lower parking lots in time), but now we have a reason to go back.
