Lovely Architecture in Old Town...

We visited  a few churches including St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Built in 1900, this onion-domed Russian Orthodox cathedral was intentionally built directly across the street from the Toompea Castle, the seat of power in Estonia since 1229, as a symbol of the tsarist Russian empire’s dominance.

There was lots of bright colors in this small historic area. This yellow building was built in 1430 as the Great Guild House. Now it houses the Estonian Museum, which was very interesting.
