Morning in Amsterdam...

We were on our own the following morning since Abbie and Derek were taking a cooking class at their favorite vegetarian restaurant as her birthday gift. Our main goal was to see the Sinterklaas Parade, but we had plenty of time before it started for breakfast and a wander around.
We spotted this very unusual houseboat. On closer inspection, it appears to be used as an office rather than a home.
This corner building with a stork built into the corner is so charming.
To kill some time, we went to the Museum of Bags and Purses, which had entirely been redone since I was last there in 2016 to make it more interactive. These two little girls were clearly also going to the parade as they were wearing Zwarte Piet hats.
It was Jimmy’s first visit and also his last (I was there one additional time) as the museum permanently closed on March 15, 2020, due to COVID-19.
