Open Gallery Night...

Later we went to an Open Gallery Night, where we saw this huge wall covered in handwritten notes...

…sculptures made of paper and staples...

…and a writing desk turned into a diorama featuring a mechanical waterfall with a description that this seductive paradise brings to mind Herbal Essence Shampoo ads.    

Most intriguing was Jasmine Thomas-Girvan’s Bathed in Sacred Fire exhibit combining her background in art and jewelry-making... 

…depicting colonialism, migration and histories of enslavement.
