Two Quick Stops in Wales...

We made a quick stop at the Blaenavon Ironworks, which was built in 1789 and was instrumental in the industrial revolution in Wales. While the industrial sites were basically ruins, I enjoyed visiting the restored employee houses and seeing the dramatic changes over the years.

Our last stop was at Keeper’s Pond, built as a water source in 1824. We especially liked seeing the horses; Jane said they aren’t actually wild, but are free to roam. It was extremely windy, so only Jack braved the weather to follow the path around the entire pond.
