Enjoying Madurodam...

Madurodam’s miniatures are works of art as they accurately depict real spots around Holland at 1:25 scale. Here’s the Stenaline ferry that we take to England from Hoek van Holland...
....and the giant arms at the Maeslant Storm Surge Barrier, also in Hoek van Holland and quite an incredible engineering achievement.
This is Huis den Bosch, the royal palace in The Hague (the real palace is currently being renovated for the King and his family)....
....and Parliament, which is also in The Hague. After our visit, we met Jimmy and Ashlynn for dinner at Mingle Mush, the new food hall by Centraal Station. It was a short visit as Lauren and Jason had to catch a train early the next morning, but we really appreciated that they went out of their way to see us.
