
One of the cool things they do at the girl's school is have the British company "History Off the Page" visit each year group once a year. In November, they visited Veronica's year for Tudor Day. As you can see, most of the kids in her class rented costumes ranging from servants to Queen "Burn those Heretics" Mary to King "Off with her Head" Henry VIII. In the morning the kids did a variety of activities from the 1500's such as soap, medicine and ink making, candle dipping, stitching, archeology digging (Veronica's favorite), and visiting the barber surgeon. In the afternoon, there was a grand banquet with the kids as jesters, dancers, tumblers, singers and actors. What a fun way to study history.
