Billy was a very good sport about trying his first hash and even wore some of our hash gear.
On the 6th, we headed into Amsterdam for the annual Light Festival Hash. Somehow I only managed to catch a photo of Ashlynn although Veronica joined us as well. The girls opted to head out early to walk instead of run the trail.
It was an excellent turn out for a trail starting at Derek and Abbie’s and ending with their famous homemade erwtensoep (split pea soup).
Unfortunately, the city completely changed how they did the Light Festival for the land route, which was previously a fascinating walking route around the city. This year was set up instead as an Open Light Museum in an area near the Maritime Museum, which was very disappointing with only a few light installations, most of which involved having to wait in lines.
On the way back a few of us runners diverted to this cool jenever bar. I was surprised when Jimmy and the girls arrived, but then remembered that he liked to stalk me on trail using FindMyFriends on his iPhone.
Later in the month we had another cold run around Amsterdam that luckily ended in a warm house with warm food. Here we are showing off our new AH3 shirts.
