Aubonne Castles dates from 1197. It is currently used as a school.
This castle gate built in the 15th century served as part of the town’s defenses.
We weren’t able to go inside, but the quaint St Etienne Church dates back to 1496 with a sundial added to the tower in 1680.
As is common in Swiss villages, there were several beautiful water fountains. Aubonne was a pretty sleepy village with only a handful of restaurants, but it was charming.
The park in the city center had a variety of impressive play and exercise equipment including an all-weather foosball game.
