We started our hike on the outskirts of the village. Unlike the hikes of the last two days, which Nina and Jim had done before, the Gorges du Nozon (gorge created by the Nozon River) was new to all of us.
Artemis was happy to lead the way. We were all thrilled to be out in nature in such a beautiful setting...
…but found the waterfalls to be underwhelming.
If you look very carefully, you might spot one, which was barely more than a trickle of water falling a few feet.
We were more intrigued by the ripples that appeared along some rocks.
After our hike, we stopped in the village for a snack and local hard cider. While Jimmy enjoyed a crepe, I had a very crazy flavor of artisanal ice cream: balsamic vinegar, which was better than it sounds.
