The following day was Easter Sunday. Veronica opted not to join us when we headed to Amsterdam for our first hash there in five months. It was technically still a virtual hash as the pack wasn’t running together, but we were enticed to join along as there would be a special bubbly stop in honor of Slippery’s daughter getting into university.
Sissypants joined us from Leiden to run, take selfies...
…and ham it up with us.
It was a nice trail which included crossing a lock...
…seeing what would be a charming place for a drink once terraces are allowed to reopen...
…and spotting one of Amsterdam’s coolest streets.
We were surprised and pleased when we met up with the rest of the pack at Slippery’s for a gathering that was clearly not in compliance with coronavirus regulations in her yard and then another gathering in front of the hare’s house for a beer at the end. It was so nice to see everyone even without all of the usual hash traditions.
Just in time for Easter, lambs were born at the farm across from our train station.
Shockingly, it snowed the following day. April 5 was the latest date we’d ever seen snow falling since we moved here. It didn’t stick, but it was just one of many crazy weather days we’ve had in 2021.
