Exploring Kyoto...

The Heian Shrine Torii Gate is one of the largest in Japan.
Go figure: a 7-11 with outdoor seating and quite a crowd eating convenience store snacks.
Soon after visiting the shrine, the skies opened up. We only had one umbrella with us, which made walking around a bit difficult. This tree didn’t prove to be very good at keeping us dry.
Eventually we made our way to a convenience shop, where I bought an umbrella (clearly they rolled out the box behind Ashlynn because of the storm) and two lovely raincoats. Mother Nature must have been laughing at us for as soon as we stepped outside, the rains stopped.
