We read about the Kimono Forest in Arashiyama in a brochure that we picked up at the Kyoto Tourist Office. It was a 30-minute journey outside of the city that was definitely worth it.
The artist chose 32 textiles to feature in the hundreds of six-foot tall acrylic pillars.
We visited in the evening so we could see the pillars lit; it was lovely.
