An Empty Airport...

On June 11, Jimmy and I donned masks and made our escape (albeit, a temporary escape) from The White House Commune.
It had been nearly three months since I’d been on a train (Jimmy occasionally rode one into The Hague to go to his office). As you can see, Leiden Centraal was quite empty...
…and so was Schiphol.
The Burger King that had once been the world’s busiest had reopened with orders placed on a terminal instead of in-person...
…and seating blocked to ensure social distancing.
Other parts of the airport hadn’t reopened...
...and were a ghost town.
It was especially shocking to see how few flights were listed for either arrivals or departures...
…and how many of those listed had actually been cancelled.
