The most exciting of those new spots was when we ran along the top of an antitank fortification that was part of the Nazi’s Atlantic Wall.
Luckily we didn’t have to climb to get on top of the wall as it was easy to access at a section where the sand had accumulated over the decades.
Much of the trail was off of the paved trails, which made for some more challenging sections in deep sand, but also made for a much more exciting route than our usual walks.
As this photo clearly shows, I was always behind, but luckily never lost sight of the others so managed to not get lost.
When Boar Whore recruited me as Religious Advisor for the FILTH, neither of us had any idea that I’d still be RA five years later. Guess it really helps that we work well together and that he appreciates my superpower to control the weather on hashing days.
