Flocking Crazy...

Once we realized that the starlings often finished their evening show by landing on trees on the next street over, Jimmy grabbed a big umbrella to protect himself from hundreds of starlings pooping on his head. Upon landing, the noise level quickly soared. 

You can’t tell because of the snow, but we’d noticed before it snowed that the roofs on this street were streaked in bird poop.

The biggest shock was when they flew directly over our heads while we were standing on our terrace for a one-time only performance. 

Will be interesting to see if they return to our neighborhood next year.
