EBC Day 7: Memories...

After lunch, the really hard part started as we went uphill for over an hour. I was stuck like glue to Ishor, hiking directly behind him and just locking my eyes onto his shoes while trying to ignore how difficult or scary the trail was.
Eventually Ishor allowed us two short breaks and two longer breaks.
James was happy to get some love from the wandering dogs we met on the path.
The “summit” was the most interesting of those breaks as it was filled with what Ishor called “memories” (or what we’d call memorials) to those fallen over the years on Everest.
We saw memorials dedicated to Scott Fisher and Rob Hall, the guides featured in yesterday’s movie.
It was a somber and yet beautiful place.
At that point we were at 15,750 feet (4,800 meters) and the hardest part of the day was behind us.
