Colors in Cromer and Veggies in Trowse...

Besides learning about lifeboats, going to some charity shops and having lunch, we walked along the gray coastline...

 ...to the colorful beach huts, originally built in 1912 and are supposedly among the earliest surviving examples of planned beach hut facilities in the UK. There is now a multi-year waiting list to rent them out.

We were lucky that we made it back to the train station before the skies opened up...

...and that it stopped raining upon our arrival back in Norwich. We had a nice walk to the nearby village of Trowse to have a belated (or early in the US and Netherlands) Mother’s Day dinner at the River Green Café, a fantastic vegetarian restaurant with lots of vegan options. We really appreciated that it didn’t just offer meat substitutes, but rather serious creative cooking with veggies. Their desserts were pretty incredible, too.
