Strangers’ Hall...

Dating back to 1320, Strangers’ Hall served as a prestigious dwelling for many merchants and mayors over the years. It was eventually abandoned in the 1890s and was opened as a folk museum in 1900.  

Due to the many expansions over the years, it was a fascinating walk through the past.

There were a variety of bedchambers showing how furniture and decor changed over the centuries.

The Great Hall was likely built in the 15th century.

In the basement was an original kitchen hearth.
