Crepes in Harajuku...

On the 13th, Ashlynn had a long enough break between castings that we could go to Harajuku. She was in search of the crepes that she'd spotted from the model van.
While we didn't find that particular shop until later, we had several to choose from with similar menus. There were lots of sweet crepes covered in whipped cream with just a few savory options.
As we hadn't had lunch yet, Ashlynn ordered Caesar salad and I ordered one with shrimp. The fillings were mixed in a bowl before being spread on the giant crepe, which was then rolled...
...and served as a cone. They were delicious!
These girls seem to be enjoying their crepes as well. As you can see, they are dressed completely identically. In some cultures that would mean that they are likely twins, but in Japan this is a fashion statement called futago koude (twin fashion coordination). When we first spotted several sets of identically dressed girls, Ashlynn suggested that maybe there were heading to a festival. After seeing similar pairs all over town on different days, we realized that it's a fashion trend.
