As we wandered around the neighborhood surrounding the Nezu Shrine, we found shrines on nearly every corner, many of which also had small cemeteries. I guess that's not so surprising after reading that Japan has over 81,000 Shinto shrines.
Many of these shrines were adjacent to a family home.
