Senso-ji in Asakusa...

As we walked towards the temple, there was a place to get your fortune. Ashlynn shook this tin, then flipped it over and a stick came out with a kanji (Chinese character) that corresponded to a drawer containing the fortune. If it was a bad fortune, she would have tied the piece of paper to a stand so that the priests could pray for her.
While Senso-ji Temple is the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo, the actual structures themselves were destroyed during the air raids of World War II.
