C2C Day 12: Our 23rd Wedding Anniversary...

The trail eventually headed back into the hills and woods, which was a nice change of pace.
The C2C eventually met up with the Cleveland Way, an official national trail.
We quickly split off the C2C to make a detour to Osmotherley, where we were spending the night.
Our 30-minute walk featured the usual hills..
...and cows.
Osmotherley, had a cute center with three pubs to choose from.
I chose The Three Tuns for our anniversary dinner. Our waitress was new to the job and basically clueless, but luckily the food was good.
We spent the night at the Braemar Bed and Breakfast, owned by a sweet young couple.
We had a very nice room...
...and really enjoyed soaking in the redwood hot tub after dinner—the perfect way to end our anniversary celebration after walking 14.5 miles (23.4K).
