Stage 16: Egton Bridge to Robin Hood’s Bay

The final bits of purple heather that we passed were in particularly scenic spots.

We appreciated when there were wooden footpaths across the boggiest sections.

The opportunities were limited, but I never passed up a chance to photograph sheep.

Once we were close enough to the coast to see the ruins of Whitby Abbey, the path turned south towards Robin Hood’s Bay.
