Stage 14: Claybank Top to Blakey Ridge
When we called our next inn from the Lion Inn, we were instructed to continue on the C2C for another three miles to a pick-up point. This section was entirely along a road. Luckily we encountered less cars than sheep as we feared witnessing a collision.
Shortly before reaching the pick-up point, we came across Fat Betty, a stumpy landmark where hikers typically leave a treat and take a treat. We were happy to oblige.
After 11.75 miles (18.9 kilometers), we were happy to grab a lift the final few miles to our accommodation.
The August Guest House Bed and Breakfast in Rosedale Abbey was charming with the sweetest owners.
