EBC Day 3: Statues and Sherpa Culture Museum...

It was sprinkling the next morning, so we donned our ponchos. I really regretted not buying one in advance like Terri’s as the hot pink one I bought in Namche fit horribly.
Although acclimatization hikes are optional, none of us stayed behind.
We quickly headed up above the village...
...and I quickly took off my goofy poncho.
Our first stop was up a bunch of stairs...
...to the Tenzing Norgay Sherpa Memorial statue in honor of the first Nepali to climb Mount Everest.
Then we visited the Sherpa Culture Museum, which was small but very informative.
This funky statue was in honor of a relationship between Nepal, with the highest point on Earth, and Israel, with the lowest point.
