The
complex is known as the Monkey Temple as it’s mobbed by monkeys considered holy
by the locals.
So cute to see the babies, including the one hanging on his mother.
They were quite entertaining to watch from the rooftop...
...and the ground.
Despite there being monkeys jumping all over the place, we never saw any at other sites.
Disturbingly, I witnessed a woman throwing a brick at a monkey that had stolen a banana from one of the shrines; luckily her aim was off, and he got away unharmed.
I love this shot!
There were also a lot of stray dogs wandering around.
