Heading to the Coast to Snorkel...

The following day it was time for another road trip, this time to the coast. Along the way we stopped in the quaint little town of Braidwood, with its pretty iron balconies...

...old-fashioned butcher shop...

...and small stone church.

St Bede’s Catholic Parish Braidwood was founded in 1832.

Eventually we made it to the coast, where we explored Bateman’s Marine Park’s pretty sand beaches...

...and rocky coastline.

The spot where we went snorkeling was especially beautiful. I was a bit skeptical when Jane loaned me a wool shirt to snorkel in, but it really did help me be able to stay in the cool water longer.

We entered from this spot and eventually swam out of the rocky island in the above photo. It was fun trying to spot fish among the sea plants.

What a nice spot for a picnic lunch. The crazy cloud formations reminded me of fireworks.
