National Gallery of Australia...

Our final stop on our bike tour of Canberra was the National Gallery of Australia, a very impressive museum where we spent several hours exploring the collections of Aboriginal art...
...contemporary art...
...and Australian and international art. This painting of a main street in Melbourne was painted in 1886.
These prints were part of a series of especially thought-provoking statements.
This gruesome sculpture features a head made of wax that eventually melted off as it was heated by an LED light.
