It had been ten years since I last saw Gene and Jane, who we had become friends with after our youngest daughters played together in Switzerland back in 2008. Jane and I have kept in touch over the years through Facebook. When I told her that I was heading Down Under, she offered to host me and show me around her neck of the woods. It was so cool that Jane was actually able to meet me at the gate at the airport—felt like the good old days.
At 2,762 feet (842 meters), the view from the top overlooking the capital city was pretty great.
